6 Days Kenya Signature Safari 

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you are warmly received by your Royal Private Safaris representative after clearing immigration and customs. After a short safari briefing, you are transferred to the historic Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel, one of Nairobi’s most iconic and elegant safari hotels, known for its heritage charm and tranquil gardens.

The rest of the day is reserved for rest and recovery after your international flight. You may enjoy the hotel facilities or dine quietly at the property as you settle into Kenya.

After breakfast, you meet your private guide for a full day of conservation and cultural experiences in Nairobi. The morning begins at the Giraffe Centre, where you encounter endangered Rothschild’s giraffes at eye level and feed them from the raised platform while learning about conservation breeding and reintroduction programs.

You continue to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to observe orphaned elephant calves being bottle-fed and cared for, while guides explain rescue, veterinary treatment, and rewilding efforts. The visit offers both emotional connection and conservation insight.

Lunch is served at a selected garden restaurant in the Karen area. In the afternoon, you visit the Karen Blixen Museum, the preserved Out of Africa residence, where guided storytelling brings colonial history and landscape heritage to life.

Dinner is arranged at either Carnivore Restaurant for a legendary safari grill experience or Cultiva Farm Restaurant for refined farm-to-table dining. You return to the Norfolk for the evening.

After breakfast, you transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled safari flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The flight provides scenic aerial views of the Rift Valley and rolling savannah. Upon arrival, your camp guide welcomes you and your first game drive begins immediately en route to camp, with chances to see giraffes, elephants, antelope, and possibly big cats.

You arrive at Zebra Plains Mara Camp in time for lunch and check-in. After a short rest, you depart for an afternoon game drive across the plains. During migration season, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra moving in long columns, often shadowed by predators. A sunset stop is enjoyed before returning to camp.

An early morning game drive takes you into the reserve at peak wildlife activity time. Predators are most active in the cool hours, and you may find lions, cheetahs, or hyenas on the move. The day focuses on migration routes and high-activity wildlife zones based on current sightings.

You spend time near herd concentrations and seasonal crossing corridors, where dramatic wildlife interactions often occur. A scenic bush breakfast or coffee stop may be arranged in a safe location.

After midday rest at camp, you head out again for an afternoon game drive to explore new sectors. Expect elephants, buffalo, giraffes, gazelles, and continued predator tracking. You return to camp in the evening.

This day allows flexible, extended exploration depending on wildlife movement. You may take longer drives with a picnic lunch to reach river areas, predator territories, or migration gathering points. Your guide adapts the route to maximize sightings and photographic opportunities.

Tracking may include known lion prides, cheetah hunting grounds, and leopard riverine habitats. The day provides deep immersion in the Mara ecosystem and its rhythms. Your final evening includes a relaxed sunset drive and a farewell sundowner moment before returning to camp.

After breakfast, and depending on flight timing, a short farewell game drive may be enjoyed before transfer to the airstrip. You then fly back to Nairobi, arriving around midday. A transfer is arranged to a city hotel for a reserved day room to refresh, or an optional overnight stay if your departure flight is the following day. Later, you are transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight home.
